As part of the training and development division, it is our job to go to the different provinces to train people. However, this time, our bosses came up with a planning and teambuilding outing for us so that we can unwind and get to know each other more.
They chose Canyon Cove in Nasugbu Batangas for the outing. It’s two to three hours away from Manila depending on the traffic. It’s a man-made beach which is similar to Anvaya.
We arrived on Thursday and we weren’t really able to explore the whole resort yet because we had a lot of activities to do in the function room. They served us AM snacks, lunch, PM snacks, and dinner. I actually liked the food because it was by Max’s.
We had a free day the next day so my friends and I decided to jog first and then swim in the pool and beach. The pool was really huge plus it had coconut trees surrounding it. It reminded me of the pool in Sofitel. What I liked about the location of the pool is that it’s very near to the beach. You just have to walk a few steps! Aside from that, you can even do water activities such as banana boat, kayaking, and the like. The sand isn’t white and fine however it was clean.
The rooms were big enough to fit three people and it had a terrace. According to my colleague, they paid 4,100 pesos per head. That included the function room, room, and the food (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks). That’s the corporate discount they gave us however she said to check out metrodeal because they usually have promos. A discounted room costs 3000 pesos.
For those of you who want to save time and chill in a beach near Manila, this is perfect for you. An overnight stay is enough because it’s pricey. I’ve seen better beaches than this one but this will suffice if you need your dose of vitamin SEA.
