I have always been a Mizuno fan. First pair of shoes that my mom got me were a pair of Mizuno football shoes. I was six years old if I remember. However back then, I never really bought high-end shoes because it didn’t really matter to me. As long as the fit was nice and that it was comfortable, then I was fine with it.
I only got my first pair of high-end shoes back in 2014 when I started to play for my corporate football club. It was Mizuno Morelia Neo 1 and from then on, I really felt that there was a difference between high-end and low-end shoes. I was lucky because it was free. At that point, I wasn’t really keen on buying my own pair of high-end shoes. Because obviously, I didn’t want to spend a lot of money for a pair of football shoes.
Fast forward to 2016, the next pair I got from my corporate football club was Adidas Ace 18.1. The first time I wore it, it was really uncomfortable. It really hurt my arches but I thought it was because I haven’t broken it in yet. So I kept using it to break it in but sadly, it still felt the same so I went back to using my Morelia Neo.
My Mizuno Morelia Neo only broke last 2017. It was really durable and comfortable. So when it got broken, I had no choice but to use the Adidas Ace 18.1. That’s when I realized that you shouldn’t wear shoes you’re not used to. The Ace really hurt my feet in fact one training day, when I turned and took a shot, I injured myself. I tore my patella. Although people told me that I should not blame the shoes but I feel like it’s really because of that. Even after wearing it a lot of times, I found it heavy and it hurt my feet.
Anyway, I recently invested in two high-end shoes. Both are Mizuno Rebulas. One is made in Indonesia and the other one is made in Japan. I vlogged about it. Still kind of rusty because I am still conscious with the camera. Hope it helps though! Check it out.
