Hi ate Marga! 🙂 I read your story po on Erwan’s page and I must say, super inspiring po kayo!! 🙂 Bagong simula po kasi ako sa healthy lifestyle 🙂 I played football every intrams year po in my High School days but I never got the chance to play as in legit play with a team/in competitions (our HS does not have a women’s football team :() but now po that I’m in college, gusto ko po sana itry for UPWFT. 🙂

Hi Rianna! Thanks so much for your comment 🙂 Im glad that i somewhat inspired you. Anyway, sa tingin ko anything is possible talaga. Even if you havent joined a varsity team in highschool, it’s okay as long as you have the discipline and perseverance for the sport. Like I said in the blog, mahirap talaga yung collegiate football that’s why it’s important to work hard. I suggest that you give it a try. Start training na now. Build your endurance and play with teams if you have time. Regarding your course, it’s all About time management talaga. 🙂 i believe that “kung gusto may paraan” 🙂 Some of my teammates came from Science and Engineering courses and they were able to graduate naman. Do not be afraid to try out! GO FOR IT!

      Dear Kristina Mae,

My course was actually Tourism before Speech Comm and the main reason why I shifted was because I enjoyed Comm 3. I enjoyed the subject because I was able to perform (I am a broadway baby haha). But I guess that was just the tip of the iceberg in Speech Comm. The course honed my writing skills and unleashed my creativity as well. I thought I wanted to take up Law that’s why I chose it over shifting to theater but when I started taking my majors, I was able to learn not only about speech writing but about Radio, events planning, photoshop, videography, oral interpretation, and the like.

Right now I work in the Human Resource Department specifically in Executive Development. I basically look for trainings/classes that will cater to the needs of our executives. Aside from that, I also write for an electronic publication and do the layout, handle events, do some hosting, and whenever other departments (May it be employee relations, recruitment, etc.) ask for my help, i help them in anyway that I can. I also am able to study and get certifications so that I can teach classes. You can check my LinkedIn account for more info. 🙂 It’s really fun!

Speech Comm helped me build my confidence. For me, being a good communicator is vital. Anything you get into will require communication. Btw, not everyone can communicate so being in Speech Comm gave me that edge when I was applying for a job.
